We are excited to share details of our next trip exploring yet more of Andalucia. On Wednesday 9 October we are off to visit Almeria! Another historic Andalusian city with a rich history.
Embark on an unforgettable journey to the heart of Andalusia with our exclusive day trip to Almería! Departing from Salobreña, you’ll travel in comfort aboard our luxury coach, setting the stage for a day of exploration and adventure. Your experience begins at Almería’s vibrant food market, giving us the opportunity to use the servicios before we start the tour! Next, delve into history with a guided tour of Los Refugios, the intricate network of Civil War bomb shelter tunnels that whisper tales of the past.
As we stroll through the city center, you’ll be captivated by the bustling Paseo de Almería and the star-studded Paseo de las Estrellas. Marvel at the majestic exterior of Almería Cathedral before wandering through the historic Convento de las Puras. The journey continues to the Plaza de la Constitución, where you can ascend to the terrace of the Heritage Interpretation Center and bask in panoramic views of the imposing Alcazaba, the serene Mediterranean, and the Archaeological Park of La Hoya.
The grand finale of our tour is a visit to Fort Bravo, a Western-themed visitor center complete with thrilling shows that transport you straight to the Wild West! After a day filled with culture, history, and entertainment, we’ll return to Salobreña around 7:30 pm, leaving you with memories that will last a lifetime. What is included in the trip?

Seating on the coach
This trip will introduce our new approach to seat allocation for the coach, which will be made and advised when we confirm your detailed itinerary before the trip.
The first four seats of the coach are reserved for ICS Committee Hosts to give easy access to the driver and tour guide.
The next eight seats will be allocated to members or guests who indicate that they have a mobility issue or similar that requires easy access to the exit. On the 55 seat coach there also a further six mobility issue seats near the mid exit to the coach.
The middle back row seat will be maintained free for the comfort of passengers in that row.
The remaining seats will be available for general use and allocated accordingly. A copy of the seating plan will be made available with your detailed itinerary and we would be grateful if you could advise us of any issues before the trip.
We will also be grateful for your cooperation in using your allocated seat throughout the trip whenever on board the coach.
As seating will be allocated in order of bookings received we recommend booking early to get nearer to the front!
Cost
The cost of the trip is 45 Euros for ICS Club Members and 50 Euros for non-member guests who are of course welcome to join us on the trip.
Booking online via our website trip booking page is required by Wednesday 2 October 2024.
Your place is only confirmed when payment has been received. Payments for this trip are non-refundable.
Mobility Issues
Members or guests with mobility issues are reminded that the guided tour involves some walking (around 1.5km on the flat) although you do have the option to remain at the Food market where we will rejoin the coach at the end of the tour.
The tour of the Civil War Tunnels also involves a walk of around 1km.
