Sunday 6 October will be the Fiesta ofย Romerรญaย in Salobreรฑa again.
We are excited that the ICS will again have a presence on the beach with our very own marquee! Last year was our second year with our presence on the beach and again it was a huge success enjoyed by manyย existing members and gave us the opportunity to spread word of the ICS and attract many new members too!
Again, we will be welcoming our existing members to the fiesta, offering a glass of cava or orange juice. As they enjoy the fun of this fiesta heralding the onset of Autumn. We will have leaflets, business cards and most importantly existing members!
We will also be looking forward to welcoming potential new members at the ICS marquee letting them know about the club, itโs aims and activities.
We hope you will get involved and come along with a little tapas treat to share with your fellow members. Maybe even a bottle to share too!ย
This year we hope to have a paellero too!
We would like to have a rota of hosts for the event covering one hour slots during the day from 10am through to 5pm. Ideally a couple of members to look after any visitors to the marquee, receive any donations of drinks and tapas and serve them as we get our visitors. If you are interested in a slot in the rota during the day please do let us know and an idea of any preference in the time, whether morning or afternoon, for example. For information, we think that again this year, the procession of floats from the Ayuntamiento begins at 11am.
We are also on the look out again for a few cool boxes and maybe ice packs to help keep stuff cool during the day. Obviously they need labelling to ensure their safe return. But if you are able to help with that, please do let us know.
