Hi and welcome to this week’s Weekly Update for a run down on everything that’s going on in ICS this week and more…
Thanks to Ruth Hardy who shared her body balancing skills with so many of us on Wednesday on the lawn at the Hotel Salobreña suites. If you are interested in finding out more about the fun and well being building activities that Ruth offers you will find details on our website post from last week.

Monday 14 April
Our Discussion Group meets again at Hotel Salobreña Suites at 11am to discuss an important topic for so many in society today… “Loneliness and Solitude”. As always, all are welcome to come along and join in the debate.
As usual our Mah Jong Red Dragons will be getting together at Hotel Miba for more Mah Jong fun at 11 am. Newbies are always welcome to come along and see how it goes. Players now enjoy a tasty breakfast at the Hotel Miba too!
On Monday afternoon at 4:30pm our Ukulele Strumblies will be back to rehearsals at Bar Amigos. We continue with our fantastic new set of songs so it’s a lot of fun. If you would like to come along and try playing, just let us know in advance and we can have a uke ready for you to try. If you would like to come along and join in the singing, that is fine too. Maybe you would like to come along to enjoy the practice!

Tuesday 15 April
A, B, C – Art Backgammon and Chess…
All at Hotel Salobreña Suites at 11am. This week we have arranged for the art group to be able to use a table indoors, either in the Games area next to the TV lounge or in a spare function room.
Backgammon and Chess as usual in the Bar area or terrace.
Wednesday 16 April
It is Easter Fun Time at Hotel Salobreña Suites! With plenty going on!
Kitty Angels Easter Bake
Easter would not be the same without some tasty treats so Lesley is hosting her popular Kitty Angels Bakes sale. We are grateful to everyone who is contributing towards the baking of course. We are counting on you to come along and help us out buy buying a portion, with the proceeds going to our friends Kitty Angels- Springtime is a particularly busy time of year for them and below you can see some of the little kitty angels who are looking for forever homes right now!
As a bit of easter fun we will also be asking for your judging skills in finding your favourite tasty bake of the day! Look out for the QR Code for our scorecard and vote for your favourite! The winning baker gets a prize!

We hope you have been busy with your creative skills over the last couple of weeks making your award winning Easter Bonnet!´
There can’t be anything too over the top for this one! Fill your Bunny Boots! Again we will have a prize for the most popular creation!
Easter Photo Shoot!
You might recall the fun we had with the Coronation of King Charles a while back! Well we are now giving you the chance to be transported to Easter Bunny Territory!
Come and step into our Bunny Booth and we will do the magic for you!
To avoid a queue we will give out “Next Customer Please” Tickets.

Friday 18 April
At the time of writing this we don’t know whether the Petanca Pitches in Park El Fuente next to Dia Super Market in Salobreña will be match fit. If not we will be back on the two pitches opposite the Casa Roja. We will let you know for sure what is happening. If we are opposite the Casa Roja then we are limited to 24 players so will have to coordinate exact numbers beforehand again.
David and Mark can’t be there for this session as we areoff to meet family at Malaga airport but we are confident the reserve management team will do fine without us .Wherever we are we will need to be there for 10:15am to be sure of getting allocated a team. Play starts at 10:30am. We will of course send a message out on the day if the weather is unkind and we cancel. If you would like adding to our WhatsApp Broadcast list for Petancas please do let us know.

So we have now introduced a chat option for members of our ICS Member’s Group. If you have space for other members you can go on and let them know so they can get in touch.
